NZ: Celebrating media diversity

Media personalities, journalists, educators, community leaders and journalists gathered on Nga Wai O Horotiu Marae at AUT University to ponder the challenges of diversity media on Monday.

Hosted by the Human Rights Commission and the AUT Pacific Media Centre, the forum was one of several events over the three-day Auckland diversity programme.

Korero speakers included Arlene Morgan, associate dean of the Columbia School of Journalism; Ana Tapiata, of Kawea Te Rongo; Bharat Jamnadas, senior journalist of Asia Downunder, Taualeo'o Stephen Stehlin, executive producer of Tagata Pasifika and Pere Maitai, news director of the Pacific Radio Network.
