Media students win at AUT communication studies awards

The AUT School of Communications Studies celebrated the outstanding work of its students at the annual awards evening held at the university on April 3. Industry representatives from the nation's prominent media companies joined the students for handing out prizes, many of whom were sponsored by organisations such as the Asia New Zealand Foundation, Māori Television, the Pacific Islands Media Association, TVNZ, Radio New Zealand, and the National Business Review.

Head of School Dr Alan Cocker said the success of the students and the awards night was an "affirmation" of the school's commitment to media training and education.
