SUVA (FijiVillage.com / Pacific Media Watch): Acting Prime Minister and the Attorney-General, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum has told an Australian media outlet that the Prime Minister, Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama, should run for prime minister in the 2014 elections in Fiji.

Speaking to the Sydney Morning Herald, Sayed Khaiyum said he thought Commodore Bainimarama was good for Fiji.

Meanwhile, when the Herald referred to the Fiji government as the “interim government” - during an interview with Sayed-Khaiyum, he was quick to correct saying: “Don't say that in front of the Prime Minister - he doesn't like it. We are simply the government."

Commodore Bainimarama is currently attending the International Renewable Energy Agency meeting in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates.
