Karen Abplanalp is an Auckland-based photographer and writer who has worked in Fiji, India, Timor-Leste and Tonga.
She is also an AUT University Postgraduate Diploma in Communication Studies and Asia-Pacific Journalism student.
Her research areas are climate change, green business growth, West Papua and INGO moving image.
Karen is partnered with the Pacific Media Centre, www.pmc.aut.ac.nz, working on a photo story of the Pacific Islands Forum September 2011.
